Our Season of Generosity is about to reach its culmination—not that we can’t or shouldn’t be generous all the time, of course! This coming Sunday, we will gather in at worship completed Pledge Cards stating the intention of giving over the course of the coming year for each of the households that make up the CtK community. By now, I hope that you have each received the Generosity Packet for 2020, including a brochure outlining some of our goals for the coming year, as well as a 2020 Pledge Card and a return envelope. If you didn’t get this yet, please let us know as soon as possible by calling the church office at 651-633-4674. Thanks!
Ministry at CtK relies on the prayers as well as the prayerful contributions of all of our members. We rely on gifts and offerings to fund many of the ways that we are responding to God’s call in this congregation, both in how we serve one another and in how we serve the wider community around us. Your generosity in the past has helped make Christ the King a vibrant and vital congregation, and has allowed us to both continue many of the ministries that have served us well over the years while also permitting us to try new things—adapting, innovating, and at time even experimenting with new ways to be God’s hands and feet. I invite you to join me in continuing to prayerfully discern what God is calling us to do as a faith community in the coming year. Pray also about the invitation to consider increasing your offering in this coming year. However God leads to you give in the coming year, be assured that your offering—whatever amount you give—will be very much appreciated by me and the rest of CtK leadership. CtK continues to be guided by our values of Engaging Worship, Nurturing Faith, Building Community and Growing Compassion as together we are Becoming Christ’s Beloved Community. You are a valuable part of who we are andwho we are becoming. Thanks for all the ways you take part in Life at CtK. Thanks, too, for your continued financial support of our shared ministry here and now. Faithfully, Pastor Peter Hanson Take part in the Generosity Galley! Have your photo and answer to the question “Why do you support CtK?” added to the Gallery in the narthex either Wednesday night or next Sunday morning!
