Christ the King is honored to accompany your family on this journey of faith and partner with YOU as you live the promises of your child’s baptism. Living in those promises is dynamic and that’s why this church has promised to be your partners in this process.
Our confirmation ministry is designed to: support families in fulfilling their baptismal promises, create spaces for young people to safely discover and wonder about their faith, develop both intellectual and spiritual practices in the lives of our young people, and to grow intentional community among our young people.

At CtK our confirmation programming includes retreats, faith community engagement and faith mentor conversations.
Faith Community EngagementTo show how an important part of a life of faith is being engaged in your faith community. To get involved in the faith community here at CtK we have made congregational engagement a big part of our confirmation program. Taking from CtK's Four Core Values we will offer a variety of opportunities on Wednesday evenings to put these values into practice.
Retreat Weekends
We experience our Catechism material and othe faith based learning during retreat weekends. This allows us to set aside time to be intentional about growing in community while learning about ourselves and our faith.

Faith Mentor ConversationsDuring students time in confirmation, we want to encourage our young people to talk to someone regularly about what's going on in their faith life. Having a mentor is a great way to do this. Our 6th & 7th grade students will meet in groups with a member of our congregation. Our 8th and 9th grade students will choose someone to meet with 1-on-1.
Mentors Needed!
During Advent and Lent, each confirmation youth will be partnered with a mentor. This is a great opportunity to give back and have conversations of faith by playing an important role in another person's life. You might think it sounds like something reserved for experts, when really what is needed is a willingness to listen, share, and care. Mentor sessions happen on Wednesday evenings, first by attending midweek Advent and Lent worship together, followed by 30 minutes of guided conversations. Please pray about how God may be nudging you to participate, and contact Pastor Sarah with any questions or to sign-up. |
