Worship at Christ the King is both contemporary and traditional and it is absolutely central to our life as Christians and as a community of faith. Every week we gather to be reminded of God making good on God’s promises by praying together, reading the Bible, hearing inspiring sermons, and singing meaningful songs. Musicians involved in a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles rehearse weekly to help lead congregational singing, drawing from familiar Lutheran hymnody, Christian contemporary song, and contemplative chant. Before being sent back out into the world to love God and to love our neighbors, we gather around the table to receive Holy Communion, the gift of Jesus Christ given for everyone. Come as you are, see for yourself.
Fall Worship Schedule
Christ the King is a faith community that serves, prays, and lives together not just on Sunday mornings but throughout the week.
Here is what you can expect in worship at CtK:
Every week 30-50 volunteers are needed to help prepare our sacred space and welcome all who gather to worship God. From handing out bulletins to serving communion to pouring coffee to opening doors, there is a place for you to help. Email Nate Crary to find out more and sign up for a Sunday worship volunteer opportunity.
If you missed us on Sunday or if you just wanted to see what worship is all about, tune in on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. and Mondays at 1:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on CTV, Channel 19 (note this recent change in channel) for the replay. A DVD of each service is also available to be checked-out in the library.
You can also access previous sermons in our online archives and watch at our Vimeo channel.
