The Caring for Creation Team is working to develop rain gardens on the CtK property in cooperation with the Rice Creek Watershed District and Ramsey County. A storm water runoff evaluation has been done on our property by Brian T. Olsen, Ramsey Country Parks & Recreation/ Soil & Water. He provided a conceptual map with estimated costs for doing a number of rain gardens on the CtK property with the understanding that there is grant money available to help with the cost. The Caring for Creation Team, with the approval of the Church Council, wants to proceed with one of the options – a bioswale/rain garden between the south parking lot and Seventh Street. The team will be working on obtaining grants to cover the cost of this project and hope to have it completed in spring of 2022. See the map of the proposed rain garden projects.
