Advent GivingThank you to all who purchased alternative gifts this year!Christ the King’s Global Mission Team sold Alternative Christmas Gifts again this year.
Those who gave a gift to our African partners in faith and received a specially crafted Christmas ornament and card, made by GM team members, to share with a loved one of your choice. We have helped feed school lunches to students in southern Madagascar through our partnership with Operation Bootstrap Africa. Now our Seeds for Food packets will also give them seeds for plants that grow well in their area’s soil and require minimal water to thrive, giving families hope for a better future. Your contributions funded the gifts to be given to our partners, where they impact people’s lives in many ways: education, health services, economic improvement, and worship and faith. Thank you for your support this Christmas season! Thank you to everyone who brought in donations for Project Manger. On Sunday mornings during Advent we sing these words in worship: “If in your heart you
make a manger for his birth, then God will once again become a child on earth.” This Advent, we donated items to the Community Support Center (CSC), which serves a number of families in our community. As we pray for God to make a place in our hearts for Jesus to be born again this Advent, we also hold that space for our neighbors in need. The Community Support Center continues to accept cash donations. Checks can be made out directly to the CSC and sent to their office: Community Support Center 1600 Silver Lake Rd NW, New Brighton, MN 55112 |
