Update for 8/20/22 The Pastoral Transition Team co-chairs have been meeting monthly throughout the summer, working through the tasks for each team area. Staffing: The team has completed 5 congregation interviews and prepared the findings. In the next weeks, they will also interview at least 2 mulit-lingual faith community settings. Mission & Vision: This team interviewed 45 individuals and families from our congregation for their views on the future of Christ the King/Cristo Rey and for their opinions regarding the attributes of our next pastor. The Vision & Mission Team is now coordinating the assembly of the Ministry Site Profile document that will be used in conjunction with the hiring of our next pastor. Self-Study: This team has drafted a congregational survey, to be taken early this fall. Additionally, they have completed interviews of recent new members, and past CtK presidents, reviewed constitution and by-laws of CtK, reviewed financial and other congregational reports, including annual reports, assessed congregational communication modes and created a mapping of how all the findings across the entire Transition Task Force intersect. Cristo Rey/CtK: This team recently drafted a narrative of the history of Cristo Rey’s development, attended to Pastor Ana’s ordination, and held a listening session with Elders in Action. Prayer Team: These leaders hold the process in prayer every Thursday, faithfully praying for leaders, congregation, community, communication as the transition progresses. The Prayer Team continues to meet on Thursdays at 12:30 in the chapel to pray for the transition teams, the staff, and leaders of the congregation. Some people are praying at home.
