Application to serve on the Call Committee for Lead Pastor of Christ the King Lutheran
Applications due by February 1, 2023.
Serving on the Call Committee to recommend a new lead pastor is an important responsibility. The Holy Spirit guides the entire call process through open and honest prayer, study, and conversation. The goal is to discern the particular rostered minister whom the committee recommends to the congregation for issuing a call.
Applications for the Call Committee will be reviewed by the Executive Committee who will select applicants based on demographic diversity. The CtK Constitution states that the Call Committee should have six members, voting members of the congregation elected at a congregational meeting. Once selected, the Synod will conduct training for the members of the Call Committee. Expect to serve from three to six months after training is completed. At times, meetings will be weekly – time commitment might be heavy.
