There is an idiom that means something was easy: “It was a walk in the park.”

Tomorrow there is an actual walk in the park, an easy way to show up for our neighbors.

What? A fundraiser walk for the Community Support Center (CSC) which works to prevent homelessness by preventing evictions.

Where? Silver View Park, Silver Lake Rd and County Rd I in Mounds View.

When? Sunday, September 27 (tomorrow!) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

What is the Community Support Center? The CSC is a 10-year-old nonprofit that assists financially to avert evictions and works with participants over time toward financial stability.

How does my walking help? For each mile walked, $10 from a challenge fund goes to the CSC. (Of course, you can always donate in addition- and perhaps win a $100 Visa gift card.)

Why is CtK involved? The Community Support Center was founded, and is still supported by, an ecumenical group of churches in the Mounds View/New Brighton area (including CtK) who realized that they could do more together than separately.

JOIN the excitement and fun tomorrow as hundreds of folks from CtK and other local churches and community groups walk a mile - or more - to visibly support our neighbors in crisis. We’ll look for you at Christ the King’s station along the way.
