A confirmation program is a springboard into a lifelong journey of faith and learning. When one finishes confirmation, it is not an end, but a beginning.

Involvement by parents/guardians and other adult members is vital to CtK’s Confirmation ministry. There are a variety of ways you can choose to be involved: Mentor during Advent/Lent, Chaperone during Activities, Kitchen Help on Wednesdays, or other ways which use your gifts and interests.

The Details

Typically, youth in grades 6-9 participate in confirmation at CtK, with confirmation Sunday taking place in early May of 9th grade.

We meet from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. downstairs in the Youth Room. During the seasons of Advent and Lent we will worship together and then spend time with mentors. In January, when there are service projects, the timing might be adjusted slightly.

Some topics planned for this year are The Ten Commandments and Faith & Daily Life. The evening will include time for whole-group learning as well as small group time. Additionally, in the weekly email will be a ‘Home Huddle’ handout for your household to use with scripture and prompts related to the weekly theme.

Dinner is available most Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. You can view the congregational calendar to see our meal schedule.

You are asked to register your child(ren) in early September prior to the first meeting. If your child(ren) begins after the program year has begun we would still ask that you complete the registration form at that time. You can register HERE

Do not hesitate to contact Pastor Sarah by email or phone. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of relationship building, fun, and exploration of faith!
