Since 2011, CtK has been providing free “grab and go” lunches for families in need in the community. During the summer, the church hosts the SUNNY (Serving Up Nutrition Now for Youth) lunch program. SUNNY is funded by congregational, community and organizational donations and serves several thousand lunches each year. Although SUNNY targets children and families, no one is turned away. The first day of lunch service is on June 11 and runs through August 24. Lunch is offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:30am to 1pm at CtK. Donations and volunteers are always welcomed. For additional information, please contact the church office at 651-633-4674.
Want to grow vegetables and flowers for your table and share extra with the local food shelf? You can begin to sign up for your 10’ x 10’ plot on Sunday April 8 - cost is only $20 for the season! Applications are available in the office during the week. Several plots in the garden will grow produce for the local food shelf and the Sharing Table in the narthex. We plan to have some theme plots as well and have informal sessions on cooking, canning and freezing. Don’t delay- the plots go quickly!
