The Purpose of Local Mission Partners (LMP) at Christ the King is to engage in God’s Mission with the growing diversity of the Twin Cities. We look to promote awareness, evangelism, and service to members of CtK, the community around us, and our local partner congregations. LMP is a program of the Saint Paul Area Synod that encourages the building of relationships with each other around three principles: Prayer: Strengthen the partnership by regularly praying for one another. Presence: Bless each other by connecting members of existing congregations with the new and renewing ministries. Presents: Share God’s gift of financial resources to support and strengthen the ministry of new and renewing congregations. The CTK-LMP Team follows these principles by engaging in God’s Mission with the following Partners in the Twin Cities: Cristo Rey, an emerging Latinx ministry at Christ the King, New Brighton Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, serving the Hmong community on the Eastside of St. Paul Hmong Central Lutheran Church, in the Little Mekong neighborhood of St Paul Minnesota Faith Chinese Lutheran Church, meeting at Galilee Lutheran, Roseville Redeemer Lutheran Church, serving the Harrison neighborhood in North Minneapolis Daily Work, working with job seekers from their office on Capital Hill, St. Paul As our neighborhoods continue to diversify, we welcome new ideas and support for this ministry. We are committed to opening our doors to the community and offering a place for all people to worship and follow God’s mission.
