The CSC is a nonprofit volunteer organization helping to prevent homelessness and solve financial problems.  ​

Mission

Our goal is to guide participants towards long term financial stability. There is no one-size-fits-all program. A CSC team walks beside participants to identify goals and create a path to achieve them.

How we work

• Prevent evictions with financial assistance
• Prevent shut-offs 
• Identify resources
• Offer continuing support

Did you know that the average rent for a two-bedroom apartment in New Brighton is $1983?

Funding for the CSC comes from churches, civic organizations, and individuals like you. Christ the King was one of the founding churches and we have two member on the Board.

WALK A MILE FOR YOUR NEIGHBOR IS JULY 28, 9 A.M. – 1 P.M. AT SILVER VIEW PARK IN MOUNDS VIEW. CtK members are encouraged to walk together following worship that morning.

BONUS BLOG: A Community Support Center Story - Support During Unforeseeable Crisis

One of our long-term participants was working hard to pay off his family’s debt. At every appointment with us he would report his progress and we would troubleshoot problems with him when they came up. One day an uncontrollable crisis happened. His catalytic converter was stolen off his vehicle overnight outside his apartment; and it happened right when his rent was due! He called his CSC team and explained the situation. CSC paid his rent so he could pay to have his car repaired. He is now back on track paying off his debts and is building up an emergency fund for future crises.
