As we share the space in Christ the King to praise the Lord, I recognize the differences among us and how we each in our own language and each in our own way give glory to God. Our language may sound different, but what I hear is the church of God giving glory to Christ the Son.
God’s love is reflected in our worshipping community. Jesus’ inclusive love helps us to grow in community. God’s name “sobre pasa”(is bigger) than any of our divisions, and he makes himself known to every language, so that we can give glory to God the Son. Saying gloria al altisimo, glory in the highest, or gloria in excelsius is not what makes us followers. What makes us believers and followers is knowing to whom the power and glory rightly belongs.
Let us pray: Dios, en tu gloria, permítenos ver nuestras diferencias como un atisbo de tu Amor sin fin.
God in your glory, allow us to see our differences as a glimpse of your never-ending Love. Amén.
