Worship Volunteer Sign-Up

What is a Worship Volunteer?
See a list of the various roles and how they serve each Sunday.

What is the commitment?
You will be asked to serve in your role on a no-more-than monthly basis for a full program year, from fall through spring. At that time, we will have a party to celebrate all that God has done through our service. We will gather your feedback and suggestions and give you the opportunity to “re-up” for another year.

Fill out and submit the information below to sign up as a Worship Volunteer at CtK.

Current Worship Volunteer Opportunities

Usher | Welcome people to worship to fully engage
Welcome all who gather for worship and help people find a seat, if needed. Hand out bulletins, pass offering plates during the offering, and dismiss people during communion.

Nursery | Welcome parents and families
Provide a safe and caring environment for children who might need a break from worship. You are responsible for having fun while keeping our little ones safe.

Welcome Center | Plug people into life at CtK
Be present at the Welcome Center and assist visitors with questions, hand out a welcome gift, and assist members and guests with signups for activities. Be a friendly face and promote upcoming church events, always extending the invitation.

Welcome Rover | Connect with and direct guests
Keep an eye out for visitors or lost sheep, making sure to introduce yourself and find out more about what brought them to Christ the King. If possible, introduce them to a pastor or another CtK member.

Brew Crew | Extend hospitality during fellowship
Help prepare, serve, and clean up after the Sunday morning coffee, donuts, and treats served in the Fireside Room.

Cup Crew | Set-up and clean-up
Set out all of the mugs for the multitude of coffee-drinkers on Sunday morning and wash all of the cups afterwards.

Communion Servers | Literally hand out grace to all who gather
Serve the elements of the Lord’s Supper (bread/wafers and wine/juice) during communion.

Table Greeters | First-name introduction
Greet people and help them fill out their name tags at the name-tag stations near the main entrances and hand out our weekly What’s Happening announcements.

Door Greeters | First welcome
Greet people with a smile and hold open the door.

Worship Coordinators | Make sure everything goes smoothly
Oversee all of the worship logistics and problem-solve any last-minute detail changes.

Video Recording | Run a camera to record worship
Join the skilled team in the sound loft and help record worship services that get distributed to a local television channel and area assisted living centers.

Altar Committee | Help with communion setup and distribution
Help setup the elements of communion on Saturday and run the elements during worship. Change the Altar Paraments based on the seasons of the church year.

Offering Counters | Count offering collected during worship
Work with a team to ensure all Sunday financial contributions are accurately counted and recorded.
