Deb Birkeland, Congregational Care Pastor 


PastorDebPastor Deb’s ministry focuses on pastoral care within the Christ the King congregation. This includes regular visitation of housebound members, those in the hospital and in nursing homes, including worship services at area nursing homes. 


As point person for wellness ministries, Pastor Deb provides training and support for Stephen Ministers and Parish Nurses. She places special emphasis on ministry among our senior members. 


When not at CtK, Pastor Deb can be found painting, traveling with her husband, Dale, and spending time with her wonderful children and grandchildren.

Celebrating 24 years of ministry

Pastor Deborah Birkeland is retiring from ministry at the end of March after 24 years of ordained service, ten of those years in service to Christ the King. Join us as we thank her for her years of dedication and care.

Sunday, April 3
Worship | 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
Celebration | 11:30 a.m.
Celebration will include a meal and program. Celebration Hall is currently at capacity for the luncheon. If you plan to attend and did not RSVP, please call the office to inquire about alternative seating options.

In a Feb. 9 letter to the congregation, Pastor Deb announced that she will be retiring from ministry at the end of March.
