Grow fresh vegetables and flowers for your table. Provide food to our local food shelf.
Be a part of the Christ the King Community Garden. Sign up for your own 10 foot by 10 foot garden plot for a $20 fee to grow your favorite vegetables/flowers; water and tools are provided. Several plots in the garden will be dedicated to growing produce for the local food shelf and the rest will be rented to local gardeners.
Visit the Community Garden Sharing Table Each Sunday in the narthex throughout the summer, CtK community gardeners will share their extra produce. Anyone is welcome to take the extra produce home. If you have a garden, donate your extra flowers, vegetables, and plants by putting it on the Sharing Table when arriving at church, and/or take something that someone else has donated.
If ever there were a power behind the throne, none was stronger than Katharina von Bora, Luther’s wife. On Jan. 29, 1499, Katharina was born into a noble but poor family. By 16, she was a nun. In addition to her Latin lessons and sacred readings, she and her fellow nuns began reading other material: the writings of Luther.
