Christikon returns as summer youth trip

Every summer, Christ the King has offered an opportunity for youth and adults to pack up our vans for a trip to grow in faith through service to neighbors across the U.S. This year, we are excited to bring back the week-long adventure trip to the mountains of Montana through the Christikon Bible camp. Many years ago, this adventure trip was offered alongside a trip with the Appalachia Service Project (known to many as just ASP).

In more recent years, CtK has only offered an ASP trip, which has grown to be a favorite for many as youth and adults join together to build and fix homes for those experiencing poverty in the Appalachia regions of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Staff and key volunteers were determined to make both trips work. Dates were negotiated and grappled with for weeks. In the end, however, key staff came the conclusion that we could not do both Christikon and ASP. As such, it is with both excitement and trepidation that we share that Christikon will be the only summer trip offered for youth in 2017. We are excited about the new growth that this opportunity will bring.
