Sunday, Dec. 18
For this year's annual Christmas Pageant on Dec. 18, Christ the King Sunday school students will lead worship with the story of Las Posadas.

A traditional Latin-American Christmas celebration, Las Posadas—meaning “the inns” in Spanish—tells the story of Mary and Joseph traveling inn to inn in their attempt to find shelter in Bethlehem.

For the past few years, members of CtK‘s Cristo Rey community have celebrated this tradition on a separate day. We are excited to bring the vibrant traditions of Las Posadas and the pageant together as we are reminded that we are called to serve all persons, the homeless and the stranger, the needy and the lonely. What better lesson to share this Christmas season.
The celebration continues after worship.
Everyone is welcome to stay after 10:30 a.m. worship on Dec. 18 as the celebration continues with piñatas and a traditional Mexican meal prepared by CtK/Cristo Rey members. Meal includes chilaquiles toppeed with sour cream, cheese, served with eggs rice and beans, and fruit salad.
