All-Congregation Book Study to begin Feb. 23

Our Lenten tradition is to read a book as a congregation and to discuss it in small groups. Please join us during Lent when we read Sabbath Keeping: Finding Freedom in the Rhythms of Rest by Lynne M. Baab. Sabbath rest resonates with those who seek a calmer life and closer relationships with God and loved ones.
Buy a print copy of the book for $12.00 and sign up for a small group on Sundays, Feb. 8-22 or in the office. Small groups will begin week of Feb. 23 and will meet for five weekly sessions. (Kindle versions may also be purchased on Amazon). Scholarships are available.

New this year: Online discussion groups
This year we will be supplementing our All-Congregation Book Study with a Facebook group. This group will be updated a few times a week with readings from Baab's book, Sabbath practice ideas, prayers, and more. So if you'd like to participate, but can't make to a face-to-face book study gathering, this is for you too!

Our hope is that this group can be a safe space for discussion and dialogue around our Lenten theme of Sabbath. This group is invite only. Please click here to request an invitation.

This Lent, we will be reminded of the truth that “the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27).
